Cart is quite flimsy and pinion gears do not work

Information on the product seemed promising - just what I was looking for. I needed a luggage trolley for a luggage bag that was too awkward to carry thru the airport. Directions were simple. It opened easily. However, I was unable to close the trolley. The bottom platform opened easily but would not close. It has plastic gears and after several attempts to fold it back into it's compact position, some of the plastic teeth on the gears broke. I am a small woman, 5' tall 125 lbs. Hard to believe someone would design a carrier that was impossible to fold back up.
